Andrea Maloney is a native New Mexican raised in Guadalupita. She is a graduate of Mora High school, and attended New Mexico State University for pre-nursing requisites and later received an Associate’s degree as a registered nurse from Luna Community College. Andrea began her nursing career in El Paso, Texas, and eventually returned to Northern New Mexico. While living in Espanola, she worked in various hospitals in surrounding areas. After having children, she relocated to Albuquerque in order to further her education. Andrea worked for Presbyterian Hospital and was selected as a candidate for the baccalaureate program at Grand Canyon University. Upon receiving her Bachelor of Science degree in nursing, Andrea became a charge nurse in the ER, where she served for 10 years. While working in the ER, she realized her desire to further her education in order to provide primary care to her community. Andrea then received a Master’s Degree in family practice from Grand Canyon University. After completing her degree, she continued to be employed by Presbyterian’s Internal Medicine Department and also worked in urgent care settings throughout Albuquerque. Andrea recognized the need for primary care throughout the state of New Mexico and made the decision to open a private practice in the North Valley. 

Andrea enjoys the outdoors – camping, hiking, fishing, running, and skiing. She and her husband Brian have five children together. They have a small farm where they raise chickens, goats, rabbits, and horses. They are also active volunteers in their church and surrounding community. Andrea’s roots remain in Guadalupita where her parents and extended family reside.
